NJK 2007

Description:

NJK 2007 is our flagship wine, representing one of the 1800 bottles produced out of a very good year. The wine was sourced from the very best fruit we had. As the 7th of the series of NJK/Nimrod wines, it brings together international varieties with the “local spice” of Kekfrankos, while reflecting the unique Eger terroir. It contains 38% Cabernet franc, 30% Kekfrankos,20% Merlot and 12% Cabernet sauvignon. This wine is elegant, bursting of fruit and is well balanced. The bright fruit of cherry and red currant is nicely accented by slight smoke, cocoa and chocolate. It is smooth in the mouth, round and pleasingly long. The wine was aged for 3 years in both new and second filling barrique. After bottling, it rested another year. It is ready to drink now, but will still continue to age beautifully in the bottle. Enjoy!
