Battonage 2020


This iconic chardonnay has found a welcoming home in our sunny but cool Grand Superior certified Nyilasmár and Nagyfai vineyards, located in the village of Noszvaj. To produce an elegant wine that has both fruit-forward and silky characteristics, this wine was barrel fermented and aged on its lees.

Fermented and then aged in oak barrels for 15 months, on its lees. (Batonnage technology - 11 month)
We used 40% Hungarian, 50% French and 10% American barrels, 68% were small and 32% were big barrels and 40 % were first filling, new ones.

Harvest date: 23rd-24th September, 2020.

excellent fruits, good vintage, high inner contant

Yield restriction: 60 q/ha
